Amtrak Ridership Increased
 
9.7 Percent in September 

Compared to September 2007, domestic air RPMs were down 9.2 percent and international air RPMs decreased 0.2 percent. Hotel/motel room demand decreased 3.1 percent and room revenue decreased 0.2 percent from twelve months earlier. Airline employment was down 1.9 percent and lodging employment decreased 1.7 percent from September 2007. Amtrak ridership increased 9.7 percent from the same month of 2007.
